LiPo batteries use a similar operating principle to Li-ion batteries. Because of the risk of explosion and combustion of lithium in this type of battery, they are subject to restrictions in transport, especially air transport. This is why it is rare to find this type of battery in replica + battery packs. Lipo batteries are available in different formats, voltages and connectors.

The advantages of using a Lipo battery are its charging speed, its constant output and its light and compact design. In addition, this type of battery does not have self-discharge and memory. However, Lipo batteries are still fragile and need to be used carefully.
